The 3.3 update for the Kindle Keyboard (aka K3, both versions) is now available here.  Among other things, it implements the personal document archiving and whispersync.  If you aren't comfortable doing the manual update, just leave your wireless on for a day or two and you should get it.

I made a few custom Kindle screensavers, which work with K2 and K3, after they've been jailbroken and the screensaver hack applied. I do not know if the old trick still works with current firmware, but the jailbreak is very easy.

The screens are mostly of Jensen Ackles and Jared Padalecki (of Supernatural fame).

If you're curious about how the new "real" page number feature was implemented on the K3, today's Kindle Daily Post has an interesting post about it.
